Pentax 110 wind-on problem

I've had a couple of 110 lenses for a while, and recently I picked up a nice looking body in a little hard case. Although I know the images won't be great (the lack of a pressure plate in 110 cartridges not doing the format any favours), I thought it would be fun to try it out. I ordered a pack of three colour films. Unfortunately, when I loaded the film it would not wind on. Looking at it with the film out again, I can see that the wind-on cog doesn't rotate when I wind on.

Is this a known problem, and/or fixable? Or do I have a nice looking ornament?

Thanks, Kris.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I have never had this problem with the 110. The following link might be useful https://www.photo.net/discuss/threads/pentax-auto-110-shutter-will-not-advance.4...
