pentax 105-R zoom

I've got an ageing camera the size of a small brick but the problem is it takes fantastic photos. when i press the shutter button E 37 displays on the screen ..does anyone know what this is? can it be repaired? if so can i do it myself, if not how much will it cost? sorry for so many??????....thanks...
