Any guesses?

645DII?
Lenses?
Couldn't be the convertor could it? My god that would punch a hole through the space time continuum
It'll be the FF. Then everyone will grumble about something else.

Lots of people grumbling about the tech.

Hey, I'll take that K-5iis and FA 31mm off you if you don't like it. I'm sure thats awful gear.

I have a slightly different take on the Pentax/Ricoh range. The K30/50 K5/5II etc are all fine cameras and offer weather protection which is very appealing.
Where the line starts to fall down is the limited range of WR lenses. There is nothing specifically designated WR below 18mm which is desperate for landscape shooters. The 16-50mm is weather sealed but commands a premium price, other manufacturers offer the same range and greater, with Vibration Reduction technology built in, for considerably less.
In the 18mm range the choice is between the 18-55mm kit lens or the 18-135mm. Now of course we have the new 55-300mm WR on the horizon but its early RRP is just too much for what you get.
The Pentax lens line up is crying out for more WR lenses, but at least now the 18 300mm range can be covered with a two lens set up.

For some though it is just not enough and something like a 16-85mm WR would change Pentax's fortunes far more than constantly upgrading bodies with the latest all singing, all dancing sensor.

It's a fair point and a good reason to use older primes which are solidly built so naturally weather resistant and some are cheap enough to risk using sacrificially anyway.

A WR wide zoom for landscape is clearly a glaring hole but I believe the update to the DA12-24 will be out soon enough (since it will be a variant of the already released Tokina 12-2 and I should imagine it almost certainly would be weather sealed. I think there is something in the 16-85 range on the roadmap.

The new Mark11 Jessops is an improvement over the old now defunct earlier model, at least at The MetroCentre on Tyneside. Staff are far more helpful with Pentax inquiries than at the previous now defunct model. The store is bigger and has a dedicated Ricoh Pentax section. OK it's set further back in the store than the two leading brand names but staff have a positive attitude.
On my first visit when the store had just opened a salesman wearing a Pentax t-shirt answered my queries.
I went in a couple of days ago to ask about the K3 and the salesman (Canon t-shirt) was most helpful.

I'm told by Mrs Snap I may be allowed a 5 minute visit when we go to the Metro center to see the Christmas decorations.

Our local PC World recently closed down. It has re-opened next door as a big tarted up Curry's PC World. Looked at their whole camera range and not a single Pentax in sight. Did get the odd one in both old stores from time to time. Doesn't affect me as I wouldn't buy a camera there, well only in a big sale when they did occasionally sell off Pentax things at ridiculously low prices. Not a good sign for increasing the general market share.

PC World/Curry's Newcastle have a K30. It looked rather lonely with no supporting lenses on show. Not marked special offer though

Weather sealed constant 2.8 at less than £500 would suit me nicely lol. Guess I'm a dreamer

Sometimes I'm serious and sometimes not, but I consider sarcasm an artform. Which is it today?

They seem to have removed their check availability widget

I used to like playing monopoly

I did notice for my budgetary requirements the decimal point seemed to be in the wrong place
