penatx service / repair

Greetings Pentax people,

I would like to get my camera serviced, there are a number of companies advertising on the net, but which to trust?
Any advice or personal experience's would be most appreciated.

The official Pentax repairers are Johnsons Photopia. try them.

Thanks Steve, I just called them & they want £170 + vat just for a service, plus parts & whatever! could end up almost the price of a good used camera!

I do not think Asahi in Brentford will touch newer models, but it might be worthwhile to check though...

I am sure any work by JPSS is covered by a short guarantee.

Did you mention your 20% PU discount at JPS?

If something breaks, I send it to Alan Marlow at A.M. Technical. Great guy, best service and all that at the best price

Johnsons are pricey but good.

Like Aleks - I too would recommend Alan Marlow and you can even just give him a call and explain what you want and he will give you a completely honest opinion on whether you even need what you think you need and whether it is worth doing.
