I can't be definitive about the particular heads you have purchased, but I have always used a simple non-dedicated hotshoe adapter.
It should be possible to pick one up for just a few pounds. There are probably dozens of them at camera fairs, and maybe something on eBay - I haven't had time to check but it must be worth a look.
