Hello, paulyrichard, I find the photos very impressive, they remind me on the great US ones of Lange etc.

inspired, Ernst

Wow, thanks Ernst, a very fine compliment indeed. Cheers.

I am aware of Dorothea's work and genius, I have her book 'Daring To Look'. Its fantastic.

If ever homelessness was tackled once and for all in some way, I hope that people in the future will look at photographs like this and ask 'how was this allowed to happen, and why?'

You are doing a great job documenting this issue.

Is the number of people living on the street growing and do they tend to be older and male :

Also are there now more younger people on the street :

Thanks Hyram.

The majority has always been male for some reason. I do know two girls in Whitechapel, one is the sister of Tommo the guy in my 'Last Draw' thread on here.
The other one I happened to meet outside the soup kitchen in Cavell St, Whitechapel.
I do believe that they get given priority on hostel rooms, for obvious reasons to do with cleanliness etc. These two are young, I would say twenty somethin'.
The people who have hostel rooms are helped, and I don't document them at all.

I haven't seen many really young people except for Chris. Centre Point on the Charing Cross Rd are well known to do a lot of work with the young and homeless, and young runaways like this.

Yeah EM, Crisis have mentioned that they'd like to set up an exhibition of my work, in a gallery in London.

Thanks man.
