Nice shots Ken though I do find the writing on the wall in the second shot a bit distracting, though I suppose the guy on the right needs something to look at.
It would have been funny if any had objected to you snapping them, given the material they were looking at

Alan, the second one is just for fun really, incidentally the girl with the Canon is looking at two copulating dogs!
I did have an idea for a picture but got a ticking off from the attendant before grasping that particular decisive moment; there is a well known HCB Greek picture of two elderly women in black passing beneath a building with two caryatid columns and I wanted to get a picture of two people looking at it but it wasn't to be. Seems a bit unfair given the nature of the work as you point out.
I was quite surprised that the photographs weren't framed, just mounted on card and quite a few had been dropped and had very bashed corners.

The composition on both shots is faultless.
The second is my favourite, and personally I dont find the writing to the right distracting. It's one of those shots I can happily study for a while; the pictures on the wall and determining the reactions to them from body language. It's great! Definitely a good call for the use of b&w, would'nt have worked half as well in colour.
What I do find distracting (and it's not an issue at all with the photo!) - is that a 'bum bag' the lady on the left is wearing? I thought they were a relic of the 90s never to be seen again....Euurrghhhh.....

LOVE the first one, I feel just like that girl! All those shoes, that costume, the ribbons, the sparkly chandeliers.......aahhhh, girly stuff.

I spotted this girl dreaming and gazing into the window of a dancewear shop
and this one from the Cartier-Bresson exhibition, I just thought there was a teriffic irony in the girl with the enormous Canon around her neck
