Here's a selection of images from tonight's Manchester Apollo show. Paloma put on facebook a reminder for us all to take photos at her show, very unusual for it to be openly welcomed! Anyway, nobody seemed to mind and I took along the Q with the 5-15mm lens. Ludicrous ISO values and not really close enough, so nowhere near technically perfect, but I like them anyway:

John - they might not be technically perfect (in your eyes), but they convey the intimacy of the concert just by capturing her "rapport" she has with her audience, and the feeling that she's enjoying what she's doing. Nice one!!

I heard there where 24 photographers there last night, looking at your photos they must have taken turns as i can only see six there, some i recognise.

I chose a moment when there were only a handful of photographers in shot, but although there were quite a few it didn't look as many as 24. However, to be fair, I wasn't watching the photographers!

Neat shots from the Q. I really like the composition on first and second!

On reflection, I missed a trick here. I should really have taken the Q adapter and the 43mm lens. They would still have fitted into a pocket or two and given me a more meaningful 236.5mm f/1.9 35-mm equivalent lens. That would have made for some nice close ups.

Isn't it easy to be wise after the event?
Best regards, John
