Hi to all ...

I would like to buy the camera in the subject: the "*ist DS".
For the information I read it seems to me to understand that I will
be able to use also my old lens of the P30.

is this right?

if yes .... of course I will not have the AF ,
but which other limitation will I have?

thx a lot

If you have A series lenses there will be no other limitations, and all the metering functions will work.

If you have M series, K series or screw mount lenses (via the adapter) then you will need to activate a custom function to allow use of the aperture ring, and you will have limited exposure options. The lenses will be useable, however.

Thank you a lot for the answer .....

The lents are:

Pentax-A 1:2 50mm
Soligor C/D Zoom+Macro 80-200 1:4.5 (*55)
Kenko 2x KAX Macro Teleplus MC7

The 50mm Pentax lens is an A series lens and is perfect for using on the DSLRs.

The same will apply to the Soligor if it has an "A" setting on the aperture ring. If not, then it will be useable with some restrictions.

I'm not sure about the converter, so I'll let someone else take that one up...
Best regards, John
