hi
i have recently recieved a optio S50 for my retirement and would like to know what is the best option regarding batteries, after exhaustive research i have narrowed it down to two types ie, the NI-MA 2500, or the
CR-V3, i would like to know which one would give me the most pics per charge. many thanks in advance

If you mean the NiMH 2500, then the answer is that they will both give you loads of pictures, as will any NiMH battery over 1800, and I would take whatever is cheapest.

Note that CR-V3 are Lithium and non-rechargeable
For normal use, go for NiMH. For better performance in very cold conditions, CR-V3 are better, but much more expensive.
It's a good idea to get a CR-V3 for emergency use - they have a massive shelf life (ten years I think). They are helpful when you are stuck somewhere without a charger and the NiMHs fail (it's happened to me, and the CR-V3 got me out of trouble!)
