If you mean the NiMH 2500, then the answer is that they will both give you loads of pictures, as will any NiMH battery over 1800, and I would take whatever is cheapest.

Note that CR-V3 are Lithium and non-rechargeable
For normal use, go for NiMH. For better performance in very cold conditions, CR-V3 are better, but much more expensive.
It's a good idea to get a CR-V3 for emergency use - they have a massive shelf life (ten years I think). They are helpful when you are stuck somewhere without a charger and the NiMHs fail (it's happened to me, and the CR-V3 got me out of trouble!)

i have recently recieved a optio S50 for my retirement and would like to know what is the best option regarding batteries, after exhaustive research i have narrowed it down to two types ie, the NI-MA 2500, or the
CR-V3, i would like to know which one would give me the most pics per charge. many thanks in advance
