From what we are reading so far the 645D seems to live well up to expectations and breaks new ground in terms of quality.
I'm not going so far as to say I could never afford one, but I'll need some more serious business through the door to make it viable.

Never say never. Several of the cameras I own now were impossible dreams a few years back but they all eventually crashed far enough in price for me to pick them up. I predict I'll be getting a 645D in around 2022 at this rate...

Trouble is I'll probably have kids at University around then. With the way funding is going I'll have nothing left for cameras for a very long time after that.

I am never going to be able to afford one but it cannot do them any harm to have a top-flight camera such as this on the books.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
