To be honest, the only places you're likely to find one would be either (a) direct from Pentax themselves or (b) on a second-hand one on eBay or similar. Look for one being sold as spares ideally, as it's usually a fault relating to the lens rather than the screen that causes folks to get shot of them.
I doubt there's anywhere else who could (or would) sell you a new one, sorry.

I have an Optio E40 that got wet, and now it behaves as if the "play" button is always pressed. Therefore, I want to open the camera and see if I can repair it.
I have unscrewed the six screws, but the top of the camera (where the on/off and the shutter button are) does not open.
I don't want to break it, but I don't know how to open it...
Since you managed to change the screen, maybe you can explain what is the procedure to open the camera.
Thanks

I have just purchased an e40 and have loaded the ACdsee software. I am wondering though if I have to use that software.
I like to use picasa 2 for my pictures. I wonder can anybody tell me if I uninstall the acdsee will I still be able to transfer the pics to my laptop from the camera?
thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan, welcome to the forum. When you plug your camera into your PC and switch it on it should appear (in Windows Explorer etc) as another removeable drive. You can navigate to this drive and drag/drop the image files to your hard drive just as if you were moving files between any other folders. Once they're on your hard drive you can open them in Picasa or any other image editor you choose.
Good luck!

Hi Ptitboul.
Just have seen your post now, have't been on for a long time, so now I suppose that you have got it fixed.
Else write again, I am repairing a lot of cameraes.
