Optio A10 performance and case

I've had an Optio S since it was launched and generally been very pleased with it and particularly liked the size of it. The one major drawback was my inability to see what I was taking when in the sun. I had a screen shade and it helped but it wasn't perfect.
I'm tempted by the Optio A10 - is it really possible to see the screen properly in the sun ? Any comments on that aspect and any other comments on the camera would be welcome !

One other point - with my Optio S, I bought the Pentax case for it, which is a light, flexible, wrap around case secured to the camera by one screw and closed with velcro. The ends are not enclosed, but I have found it fine and it has protected the camera well. The strap supplied with the camera can still be used. It all fits nicely in my shirt pocket.
Pentax are advertising a case for the A10 - case O-CC42 - but I can find no description of it and the photograph on the pentax.co.jp/english site is not at all clear. It looks like another wrap around case, but when I spoke to a Pentax UK person, he thought it was a drop in leather case. He could not advise me where it was stocked in the UK so I can't see it before buying it. Has anyone seen or purchased this case ? I would not like to buy a case that would make the camera too big to put in my shirt pocket !

Regards,
Robert.
