1a, 2a, 3b, 4a.

1A has too much sky in my opinion. If you leave it in, you might clone out the vapour trail.

Your sensor needs cleaning, it's filthy. Look at the mid grey area of sky in 2b.

I like the last two most. The tighter crop helps.
Especially with the horizon being so close to the middle on most of the images, the tighter crop shows more strong lines across the through th image that break up scene more and I don't tend to focus on the centered horizon.
The tree also takes more of the area, so the sky does not compete so much with the lower half where the tree was otherwise hidden.

I have a hard time deciding between the color and B&W. Something isn't quite catchy enough in the B&W, but I'm not sure what it is.

My fav is def. no 1a., what gorgeous colour - is it au naturelle or a filter?
only crit I wd say is I wd lop about a 1/4 off the top, letterbox format wd look real good.
3a, great in mono, but I think I wd be a bit more dramatic by contrast dodge & burn to bring the eye in.
BTW dirty senso marks in 1b, 2a, 2b...see how picky I am getting now

nice shots AJ

thanks for the input peeps. The dirty sensor is annoying, i need to get a cleaning kit, but most of the specks are on the nd grad. it was quite windy with specks of dust landing on the grad.

I hadn't noticed that I'd centred the horizon so much/often. Mind you each set is exactly the same picture just with different colour options.

1a is a strong sepia tint. the rest are either desaturated colour or mono.
