Been playing around in Lightroom and Photoshop, kinda liked these two results, what say you................................

#1 photoshoped.

No sharpening applied to any of the images.

Sorry Brian, the first is the best, but the background detracts too much. perhaps with the curtains closed?

I like the last best, for the same reason - as a 'normal' photo, it's not the best, because of all the extraneous stuff going on.

However, with the applied effects, it looks like an illustration from a book or a magazine (Jeeves and Wooster?), and quite interesting at that.

Could do with a bit of straightening though.

Thank goodness someone else thinks the first is best - for me the other two are just effects for the sake of it and nothing to the original. But then that's indivdual taste for you - it's individual!

I always like your work and agree with everyone's views on this shot.

I have a question though - in #3 there's a whole lot of strange shadow appearing on the door and window frame, that I see no trace of in 1 and 2.

Is this some latent stuff that the processing brings out?

Thank's for the kind words and yes, the latent stuff appears to come from an image selectable as the background in the filter, still playing around to see what this filter is capable off.

It's the way my mind works, always looking for something different, always exploring, I don't think an effect is "just for the sake of it" sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and as you say it's an individual thing. I'm never left with any bad feelings when someone doesn't like something I do (well maybe my boss, but thats a different feeling so please keep your comments coming on any future stuff I post, I always try to take note of these for future reference

Bad news from me I'm afraid I dont like 2 and 3 at all, mostly because I dont like 1 much either; I dont know what you are trying to say, why is a woman in her nightie in raptures looking at a cupboard or wall???
