I agree Smeggy, at 1.4 my model is unlikely to be at the edge of the image. Very tempting at that price for those extra 2 stops.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, how about the DA 15 ltd. It will give you something you don't already have.

not sure that the new version of Sigma 30 1.4 is available in Pentax fit from reading the stuff on dpreview about it, Pentax was not mentioned.
i sold DA40 and DA21 as i found my DA*16-50 easily matched them for iq at their respective focal lengths. kept the 15 though.

The 30 1.4 is tempting. I know it's supposed to be soft around the edges wide open, but I often soften the edges anyway.
