The driver is in so much yoghurt anyway that it's just another thing to add to the list.

I agree with the Ipod = death for cyclists. Still its the cars that kill them. He doesn't care though, no helmet. Doesn't bother him if he has to scrape his head down the tarmac to avoid a car (experience).

Definitely send it to Network Rail, they're getting seriously fed up with having to deal with stuff like this and photo evidence will stop insurers from attempting to duck the bill.

There is a bridge in Glasgow which is hit constantly, tragically there were several deaths when a bus carrying Girl Guides ploughed into it.
It is well signposted BUT there is another identical lower bridge a short distance behind it creating an optical illusion that the first bridge is much higher than it actually is.

No the driver did'nt do a runner.
Just out of view to the left is a pub being done up - full of scafolding (being turned into a Weatherspoons I believe) which had quite a number of builders on it. They all broke into laughter for about 30 seconds, but then one of them grabbed some spare traffic cones they had and cordoned off some of the road.
The driver looked a right picture - should have grabbed a shot of him!!!!

Not pretending to be an expert on lorry anatomy, but perhaps it might have been on the bit obscured by the bent 'walls'?

Might be my eyes/lack of attention, but I can't see any in the OP's photo. You're correct of course that cycling on pavements where signs permit cycling on pavements is not illegal...
