On Landscape Magazine

Posted 18/11/2017 - 00:24 Link
Just a quick one to say I've got an article in the recently published issue 148 of "On Landscape" magazine (the online Landscape Photography magazine). They asked me to write an "Endframe" piece for them a couple of months back, and it's just surfaced.

The actual page of the piece is here, so do drop by and have a look if you have a spare moment (you should be able to read it with a free subscription)...

Thanks and best

+ 1

I went to a Salgado exhibition a couple of years ago (2014) at the Beetles + Huxley gallery in London. I wasn't familar with his work before I went, but WOW, what a collection of stunning works. If you like B+W, search him out, his images are amazing.

Excellent Bill. You're a man of many talents, photography, acting and a natural flowing style of writing.
What next? Strictly Come Dancing?

Thanks Kev and Phil... Phil, yes, I know exactly what you mean... I felt the same when I saw his work... what makes him remarkable, as well as incredibly distinctive, is not just the photographs themselves (which are extraordinary in their own right), but what he chooses to make his photography about... as I mention in the article, for my money he is essentially an extraordinarily articulate storyteller, using the medium of photography to communicate his own specific and deeply personal point of view...

Ah, thanks David and David... very good of you... David, there are not many certainties in life, but as a proud possessor of 2 of the leftest of left feet, I think that Strictly is (happily for us all, I suspect) a complete non starter... phew!
