BTW, the black surrounding - is it post-processing effect or black table or?

The backdrop is just a black sand bag (flash stand weight) bent up at the back, with the Metz on the left fired remotely (radio) through white tissue and a piece of white A4 on the right. The black came out pretty black with just a hint of red reflected at the bottom which I quite liked so I left it.
The right eye is of course, cloned, but it would be easy enough to score the skin of the tom where you want the mould to erupt.
I have been growing this fellow next to the computer for 4 days.
