well Mac, ol' friend... use those taks the way they were intended..... on manual.
skip the internal meter...and try the ol' sunny sixteen rule, or a handheld.
you could try taking a manual reading off a grey card to find out if your camera's meter is of any use... but I wouldn't trust the cameras meter with those lenses...
if it's out consistantly, you could use the ev compensation to adapt.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Thanks Don,
Time to fire up the old Sekonics, eh?
Good to know I didn't miss something obvious, and was actually on the right track.
How're things with you folks? Are you going to come see me on those crazy bikes?

Don,
The porch light's always on for you.
In case anyone is wondering, I would pick these guys' brains 'til they "can't stands n'more!" Between them, they have the whole spectrum of professional photography covered - hardware, software and peopleware.
'sides, they're fun!

I have a collection of Takumar Screw Mount primes and the appropriate adapter to mount them on my K110D.
The shots are all sharp as a tack, but no matter how I set up the camera, the light metering, AV, TV, M etc. the shots are all WAY underexposed. I have Aperture Ring Enabled in the menu (works great with FA and F lenses as well as an 80-200 K Mount Zoom).
I've resorted to going fully Manual and using trial and error. The Takumars are set to Manual so I physically control the aperture. Then I set the shutter speed on the camera as if in TV mode.
I gotta be missing something, or are these fast old lenses just shooting through too much light?
I thought I'd read the maunual on this, but it's rather sketchy in this area.
So, of course, here I am at the doorstep - again.......
Cheers!
