Old on New

I have a shelf of lenses that are to be sold off as they haven't been used often enough or are a less favoured duplicate of that focal length - several of these are M42 Takumars and only recently have I been playing with them on the last DSLR to be released by Pentax (probably!), the K3 MkIII. It still amazes me just what these lenses can produce, so here's a few firstly from the Takumar 58mm 2.4 (sold with the original Pentax AP)....

....(some with a 20mm extension tube!)....

Nice set of images, and I too am fond of old lenses. Interesting contrast in bokeh, the first couple are quite "bubbly" compared to the later ones which are smoother and a bit more dreamy. I must dust off some of my older lenses, I've been in modern AF land too long.

Nowhere have you mentioned the superb bokeh that these vintage lenses produce. Lovely - which is why I use them!
