Which seems to imply you have access to information I and other members do not and which has been repeatedly requested so that the whole sorry mess is in the open and we can make informed and intelligent decisions based on information not hints and innuendo.

No, I don't, but I can read between the lines. You may recall the post by Algernon, and another by somebody else regarding the behaviour of a former member.

I can also personally remember a number of incidents regarding one of the defectors. Both these people have made comments in other places concerning arguments with moderators over some time.

There are other things too. When people are repeatedly having their posts deleted, you can be sure they are trying to cause trouble.

So it is not just this latest incident that caused the furore, and it is in my view misguided to blame the moderators for what happened.

As for Nass, I joined "his" forum to respond to comments made about me. But it seems a right of reply is not permitted on that forum, which adds to the irony. Incidentally, I was not aware that I was the cause of the topic being closed until after I started this thread.

I have not blamed the moderators although others have questioned the manner in which this has been handled.

So, having created confusion, doubt and seemingly suggested that anyone who is wanting clarification is possibly naive or has not been attentive enough regarding previous behaviour you'll 'shut up' and move away from another scrappy thread full of innuendo and thin on facts.

Anyway, I have been advised that I should let this drop to avoid repercussions. So, I too will 'shut up'.

No, stop twisting things, Dr Orloff. I didn't say that.

I pasted what I had written here so that people could compare my actual words with what Tim and others had claimed I said.

My post never appeared. I had no idea I had caused the thread to be closed. It would have been more logical just to refuse my post - on that forum, posts by new members are scrutinised before they appear. Closing the whole thread suggests that people were unhappy with it anyway. It was not until Nass posted here that I was aware that my post, allegedly, caused the closure.

Where is a mod when needed? If ever a thread should be closed it is this one.
Picking at this scab does nothing other than drive more away and generate some sympathy with those who have already gone.

Who ever was in the wrong, it was a sorry episode. However it is sadder still to see it's resurrection.The claim that this was due to a 'childish sense of humour' at least contains one word of truth!

Why people want to say always that they are RIGHT.Everybody else is wrong. If someone else comes back to prove he is right, then he is bad.

I'm not trying to twist things. But surely there is ultimate irony in a thread entitled 'oh the irony' which reports the closure of a thread following the intervention of the reporter of the irony. It's quite brilliant actually. Equivocation par excellence and ironic as ironic could be.

But the result was entirely unintentional. Rather like some of my better pictures.
