Pentaxophile,
I now that primes are much better then any zoom, but I have been using really kit zoom like 18-55 or sigma 18-35 and they are not so high end such Sigma 18-50/2.8 but photos still looks amazing, much better then from present set. ARGHHH I'm so angry for being silly :/

From a personal perspective I certainly hope so - the crowds at last year's show made it near-impossible to actually see anything. ...No doubt this will affect attendance...
I don't recall Canon's stand last year being as big as Nikon's or Panasonic's. Certainly Nikon branding was everywhere as they're the main show sponsor - perhaps that's why Canon have pulled out? Didn't like folks carrying their brochures away in Nikon carrier bags..?

Wonderful to have a super bullet, but not much good without long reach barrels to fire it through. There may be many sports and nature togs out there that admire the K5 but can't use it as theres no long fast glass available.
I'll bet theres more chatter going on over this now than there was six years back when Pentax pulled out. No doubt all will unfold.
Best regards

For me, the choice was easy. I can't afford long fast glass anyway so it's a non-issue from my perspective.

Canon UK say: "'We are currently reviewing our marketing strategy"
....so what does that mean? Have they run out of 'marketing' money for financial year 2010-2011?...which bear in mind, ends soon.

Sounds to me like their new cameras aren't quite ready yet and they don't want to turn up with empty boxes!

Perhaps they are regretting prioritising articulated LCD screens at the expense of build quality?

The magazines have stopped taking bribes, so they went back to the drawing board to design a camera that can compete?

how is that possible that my Pentax been producing much better photos with really cheap lenses and C with 2.8 zoom gives really bad quality?
