Northern Lights update

I believe from reading a couple of spaceweather sites that there is a strong possibility of spectacular Northern Lights tomorrow night and into the weekend. Talk of these being visible at more southerly latitudes than usual...US states bordering the southern Canadian border so they may even be visible over Scotland and Northern Ireland subject to the cloudcover.

Yes, there is a chance of them tonight in the far north, and tomorrow night, from 1am BST as far south as the Scottish borders.

Hopefully Bjørn is paying attention and can get some good shot up in Trondheim.

Big Brother is watching you (The George Orwellian Big Brother that is)

The forecasts look very promising for a major Northern Lights occurance on 12-13 September. It looks as if the Lights will possibly be visible far South in Europe, I hope you will be able to see them in the UK!

I usually consult spaceweather.com in addition to the Fairbanks website you have linked Gwyn.

I'm too far south to see them where I am. My son may get lucky up in the north of the Netherlands, where it is also considerably darker.

I hope someone manages to see them and capture them for the rest of us .
