Non recognition of Lens in (Apple) Aperture

Help please.
When I download JPEGS into Aperture from my K5 the 'info' will always show the lens used.
Not so with my new K-01 - although it does for the RAW file imported as part of the pair.
Why is that so, what am I missing?
I would appreciate an answer if anyone has one!
Thanks.
Lots of gear - but not a lot of idea!

I've never used Aperture, but is it possible that you have to "pre-load" data for this particular camera and lens combination, similar to that of DXO Optics Pro? Or, perhaps there is something "in-camera" that allows the metadata to display in the settings?

My thought on that possible solution is why does it show for RAW files and not for JPEGS ?

From what I can see in the following link under IMPORT, it implies that this software can import a combi of RAW and JPEG, RAW only, and JPEG only. Could it be that you have selected to IMPORT RAW ONLY?? Comment Image

I wish that was the case, both files are imported. I have tried with making each of them 'masters', but it does not alter the non information of lens type on the JPEG.
It's really winding me up!
Thanks for your help and interest.
