Rob,
ANOTHER bright blue sky!
With a spring robin to lift the spirits!
The Tamron did very well here. f8?
(Don't let him see Clarky's bugs!)

Those are very good shots colour and sharpness are excellent. I have never used a Mirror lens and they don't get very good reviews from what i have read, but these are very good, so you must have a good one
Don't worry about my bugs they can look after themselves and besides most bugs in Aust are bigger than robins anyway

Thanks,
The Tamron is very sharp indeed, but the out of focus parts of the pic can produce "donuts". Look in the background of this and you will see what I mean! That's my friend trying to find out why his flash keeps popping up on the sunniest day of the year when he is pointing the camera at the sun!
Well, look what it is, a 4/3 Olympus. Try and get them printed at the local shop without cropping or lots of white space at each side.

Yes f8 and we have had some brilliant weather. Do you find that blue skies in winter are so much deeper and richer than in summer?

Yup, a really deep blue - when I can see through the *&^% snow storms!
I think it's because there is little moisture in the cold air.
'Cause it's all tuned to *&^%*snow over here!
How marco do I have to get to shoot snow flakes?
THIS is where the ring flash would come in handy (floods are a definite disadvantage.)

If you put some snow on glass you can try backlighting them.

Sounds like the camera is trying to use auto fill in for the contre-jour lighting, my MZ7 does it if set to Auto, it can of course be turned off I would have thought the Olynpus should have a similar arrangement. That's my friend trying to find out why his flash keeps popping up on the sunniest day of the year when he is pointing the camera at the sun!
Anyway, serves the infidel right for not buying Pentax

Hard to imagine wanting to look at any more of it... How macro do I have to get to shoot snow flakes?
How much do you have? We've got a minimum of 26" with drifts up to 4 feet deep here...
