No auto exposure with 100mm DFA with Kenko Teleplus

I have a Kenko Teleplus 1.5X which autofocuses and auto exposes perfectly with the 18-55 DAL kit lens and the 55-300mm DAL. It autofocuses with the 100mm DFA Macro but remains fully wide for exposures. It works fine without the converter direct on the K-r. There does seem to be an extra small rectangular contact on the DAL lenses but can't believe it's to do with that. Help!

I've got the Tamron badged version of that teleconverter and it works fine with my DFA 100mm macro. Only suggestion is that the lens has slipped off the A setting?

Thanks Zak. This version doesn't have an aperture ring actually. I've tried taking it on and off a few times and rubbing the contacts and it might be working intemittently now. As it's working with the other lenses I think it might be some critical thing with the contacts lining up.

Could be that or perhaps the contacts could do with a clean?

If it has no aperture ring I presume it is the 100mm WR macro ?

Sorry yes, forgot to add the WR. It is in fact working now after doing various things like cleaning the contacts, reseating it a few times etc. Have a feeling it might be intermittent but will have to test further.
Thanks for the suggestions and perhaps panic over.

I have now established it works with everything except the lens I need it most for - the above 100mm DFA WR Macro! I'm going to repost in a new thread to see if anyone can work out the problem which I have now established as mechanical.

I've fixed it! Logic said that as it was only with this lens and the only difference was the WR it must be something to do with that. I could tell it was only fractions so wondered if it was the extra thickness of the red rubber sealing ring. So I carefully bent the lever up by about that much on the converter and bingo! it works fine. Doubt if anyone else will have this problem but thanks for the tips.
