You'll need a tripod and, ideally, a remote control.

Mount the camera on the tripod and set it to (B)ulb mode, set the desired aperture/ISO and focus manually on your subject (if it's dark then the AF won't have anything to lock onto so switch it off).

Use the remote control to trip the shutter and again to close it. Start with a 10 second exposure and if it's still too dark try another at, say, 20 seconds. Repeat this until you have the picture exposed as you want it.

Good luck

And use mirror lock up.

I certainly do not remember MLU being on my 100D back in the day.

I might be wrong...

Use the 2 sec delay as you don't have MLU.

Since it's a long exposure the second that it might wobble a bit doesn't effect the image so much, surely if you don't use a long focal length so mirror lock up isn't essential.

That's because "SA" is the name of Sigma's lens mount

My Samsung 18-55mm lens that came off the GX20 has a silver badge with SA written on it.

Its the same kind of badge on the WR 18-55 that has DA on it.
Lurking is shirking.!

Yes and No....maybe maybe

Yes, the Sigma mount is SA
No, SA on my lens means it's an SA-series lens much in the same way Pentax have 'F' or 'FA' or 'DA' - means naff all
maybe - the SA mount is only very slightly different to the K, the lugs are in the same position but the depth is different....

My Samsung lens is actually a Schneider Kreuznach badged lens - adds a little bit of glamour since Schneider made a name by making wonderful lenses for old German SLRs and Rolleis and enlarger lenses, much like Rodenstock.

What also does'nt help is that S is right next to D on a keyboard - hence why I thought it was a typo.

Ah, well!

(I've kinda hijacked this thread - so I do apologise to the OP)
