Nice set, I like them.
Like Gary I think number one could be sharper, especially on the eyes. It looks to me like the focus point is on the hands.

Gareth, she isn't camera shy, I can tell you! She loved it when the camera is out and utterly loves dressing up. She was easy to photograph....my nephew on the other hand was a touch more difficult...lol!
The backhround was indeed a set of curtains and matching carpet....was my sisters living room! lol! Either side of these shots was a large telly, a large sofa, my Dad and loads of electronic gadgets! lol! So had to take in what I could get really....
Number 1 IS a touch soft...I think I uploaded the wrong one, but will check when I get home....nicely spotted guys!!!
And thanks Father Ted! Appreciated and well pointed out!

A nice set of improvised portraits.
I think the close-ups in particular could have done with a little fill from the left (reflector?) as the right sides are ever so slightly blown. Having said that, the directional light in #2 gives a nice 3d effect, with just enough wrap from the umbrella to avoid a harsh light/shadow divide.
A treasured addition to the family album I'd say.

A lovely set of pictures. The kids seemed so relaxed and full of fun. Good choice of background, too!
