The used 55MM focal length at F16 suggests the DA* 50-135 rather closed down.

Actually it was taken on my Mk I kit lens as the DA* 50-135mm was away being repaired at the time.
The softness in the waves is because I used f/16 and 2.5 seconds at ISO 100.

Kris, this is almost abstract. Reminds me of one of those trendy posters which were around in the 1970s.
Super, rich colour. I bet this particular effect lasted about two minutes.
Andrew's law in evidence again: less is more. (Just wish I'd obey it myself, sometimes!) You're good at subtracting from a scene and photographing space, if you know what I mean.

It was quite a windy day (and damn cold, about minus 4C, in Florida!) and the sun hadn't risen over the horizon yet. The only PP I have done is a little crop/straighten, a tweak of the curves and some dust spotting. Nothing out of the ordinary in PP in order to make any special softening effect.
