Newbie from Derbyshire!

Hello All,

I've always loved photography and used to always carry a camera in my pocket!! I've obviously changed with the times and nowadays it's a mobile phone and tablet that take up the room!

So... I recently decided to go back to Camera-Love... and decided that I'd buy a film SLR. The only camera I currently have is a digital compact - and even though the images are a delight I've always wanted an SLR. Leaving my youthful ideas of good equalling expensive behind I decided to go for film - which is where I started! So I've acquired an old Pentax ME Super and am just dipping my toes back into the old pool! I expect I'll have to have the camera overhauled sooner or later - but I already love it!!! Not that I've much of a clue about how to use it at its best as yet - but I'm in for the long haul and am more than willing to learn!

So I'll be haunting the 'Film SLR' forum for a while - but just wanted to say hello and introduce myself!

Welcome to the forum.
I've not shot film for soooo long....
Has crossed my mind a few times but now find digital so easy (relatively) compared to film.
Maybe one day...
Anyway have fun...

Thanks for the welcome! This is certainly an interesting place to mooch about - but I had forgotten that photography also involves learning a new language!!! I'm wondering if it has a name?? Photish? Engography? Photoglish? Um I think I like Photoglish the best - I'm writing that on my resume!!!

Another Pentax you might like is the P30. They can't give them away on Ebay. Nobody loves the plasticky looking things. .... except that it is a jolly good film camera and a delight to use. I've had two.
