Hi All from Sunny Stafford. Just thought I'd check the forum out to see if there is actually any useful information. I have one question/ The bulb setting on a Pentax K10d, is there a way off setting so that you dont have to keep your finger on it. As in press once to open shutter press twice to close shutter ?

Welcome to the fora.

In answer to your question, I don't think so BUT if you buy a cable release it has a sliding button that can lock the shutter open. For bulb-type shots you should be using a cable or remote release anyway.

Best wishes, Kris.

Hi Matt and welcome. Kris is right, there's no in-camera method of holding the shutter open but cable releases all tend to come with locks and I can't imagine you'd get useful results in bulb mode without a release anyway.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments didn't expect anyone would answer but you've all supassed my expectations. Cable release on its way. I have got an infra red remote but don't see the point of wasting the battery. Happy New year to you all.
