New Year images

Since New Years Eve is our wedding anniversary, my wife and I usually take a few days away over the holiday. I always take the camera, but the weather is often wet and windy and I sometimes return with just a few images taken from the car.

This year the weather was kind and we managed to cough and sneeze our way round a couple of walks.

North Wales IS my default recreational area and has been since I discovered rock-climbing in 1963, but for some reason that I can no longer recall we tend to go to the Lake District for our New Year breaks.

The Waterfall shots were taken just east of the M6, on the 'Ingleton Waterfall Walk' a 4.5ml ramble past about 9 waterfalls.
The other shots were taken on the shores of Ullswater.

Lovely light on the tips of the hills in the last image. I also like the way the water runs in and then out of the frame in the opening image

I like that closing panorama in particular, as Gareth said the light on the hilltops is beautiful.
