Some quality images there Brian, but personally I am not keen on the slide show way of viewing. I prefer to scroll and view at my own pace.

Float the mouse pointer over an image and a small graphic saying play or pause is displayed

Really great images. If you want to go for the slide show idea then I'd have it start automatically and also make the duration of each image much shorter. Many people have a very short attention span and you need IMHO to keep it moving.
Best regards, John

Yes you are right and moving to the left brings up previous. If you go more toward the rh side of the frame the cursor changes to "next" I've noticed. You can browse at own pace then.
Brian, I think if you stick with this format , you need some guidance notes for users.
One further comment , when reaching the end of a 'set' it would probably work better if it scrolled automatically back round to the first image.

Realistically there's no way on earth I would know that or be interested enough to find out and I would just wander off elsewhere.

I've tried it in Opera 9,6 and 10Beta but the slideshows doesn't work in the beta.
Just simple button like play/pause, next and previous would be simpler and clearer to use. With some more coding you could even have a slide wich would be great if you did that.
Wonderfull site, it looks pretty

I like the concept and have no problem with the slideshow in Firefox 3.0.8 (is there any other browser? ) using XP or my Linux Mint PC. Perhaps some guidance as to how to run the slideshow would be beneficial.
One question, where is that castle in your Landscape selection? Excellent quality images too!

Hi Folks
Thanks for all your feedback, have taken stock and done a bit of revising.
I wondered if the original navigation would have been OK, thought most folks would wave the mouse around a few times and find the pop-ups. Have reworked the navigation and added a few more images, there is also a nice button to try on the righthand end of the navigation bar
I've tried it in IE7 and Firefox 3.0, seems to work fine although the image transi6tion seemed a bit jerky in Firefox.
Again, comments etc welcome.
