New Toy the K30

My Pentax K30 just arrived a couple of hours ago, lousy very dull light so just a quick ten minutes in the garden to test it out and a couple indoors, I mean you have to don't you.

All taken with the kit lenses and handheld.

My initial thoughts are that it is a big improvement on the K-r and handles very well and all in all it is a very traditional photographers camera which suits me. My biggest disapoint is that CaptureOne does not yet support the raw files.

My better half who was not to pleased I had taken it.

I've been saying it ever since I got my K30 when they first came out in July, its a superb little camera. Your test photos prove it, they are excellent.

Thanks guys I just need some none grey days now.

I had a pleasant surpise with the kit 18-55 WR lens, the image quality of the one that came with my K-r was abismal even when stopped down but this one is a great improvement over it, in build and IQ.
