New to Pentax

Posted 24/12/2009 - 11:44 Link
Hi everybody - I am hoping to join the Pentax DLSR family in the New Year with a Pentax K-x after much deliberation between that and the Nikon D5000 and Canon EOS 500D. What made me decide on the K-x was the in-camera IS (so loads of extra lenses to choose from), excellent picture quality with the standard issue lens, build quality, ease of use & handling. I'm stepping up from 35mm SLR (Canon EOS 500N - takes beautiful photos with my Canon, Sigma & Tamron lenses - great pity there isn't a Canon to Pentax adapter)and Canon PowerShot A620 point-and-shoot.

Welcome to the fora, Terry. You'll enjoy the new camera and will soon be suffering from LBA with all those old lenses to choose from...

Merry Christmas, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
