New to Pentax

Hi everybody - I am hoping to join the Pentax DLSR family in the New Year with a Pentax K-x after much deliberation between that and the Nikon D5000 and Canon EOS 500D. What made me decide on the K-x was the in-camera IS (so loads of extra lenses to choose from), excellent picture quality with the standard issue lens, build quality,ease of use & handling. I'm stepping up from 35mm SLR (Canon EOS 500N - takes beautiful photos with my Canon, Sigma & Tamron lenses - great pity there isn't a Canon to Pentax adapter)and Canon PowerShot A620 point-and-shoot.

Welcome to the fora, Terry. You'll enjoy the new camera and will soon be suffering from LBA with all those old lenses to choose from...
