I haven't bothered with the Beeb site much since it's facelift. I can't get on with it somehow.
I shall have to get used to it again but it's a bit of a struggle.

Congratulations John it looks great. I have just book a week in the Shetlands at the end of August and looking forward to the scenery.

The redesign doesn't really bother me, but the fact that at the same time the articles have become shorter and less detailed does.

Well done with the picture John.... quite a nice fast viewer that the BBC have on that page.

Pity about the site update though.

A few months ago the "your local forecast weather page" had a really nice layout... then they gave it a facelift been horrible ever since.

The new layout on news has no left margin and makes it hard to read.

Seems to be the way of the world at present. Every thing I seem to buy has been updated by leaving things out The latest is a Panasonic 250GB HDD/DVD recorder the "delete button" has gone and you have to go into the menu's to delete a program. Luckily the Remote off the previous 80GB Recorder works the new one so I can work it with the 2 remotes..... Sorry make that 3 remotes The "Eject DVD" button had disappeared when I bought the 80GB recorder so I kept the remote from the one before that so that I could open and close the tray from the comfort of my armchair The S-Video socket has also gone, which I used to use with a movie camera. The Instant record buttons also gone from the recorder. At least it upscales a DVD to FULL HD which is marketing spiel for "It plays DVD's on your LCD TV"

About 454 comments so far on this BBC page Quite a lot of complaints about no left margin, but it seems that as usual the BBC are ignoring what people want. Someone has even wrote a script to override the missing margin, but there's a comment that it's like putting lipstick on a pig
