Printers come quite cheap these days. Printing does not. Ink and paper will soon outrun what you initially pay for the printer.

I have an HP C5280 all in one, which uses HP's Vivera ink, and their grey cartridge for B/W photos. I am very happy with it. My son has the HP f4280 and is delighted with it.
So my vote goes for the HP - but check the prices of cartridges as well as the price of the printer, before you decide.

I have 3 Epson Printers and a Canon I have found that Epson Compatable Cartridges are reasonable to purchase All my photo printing done using compatable cartriges no problems I have just received a email from Epson offering a DX4400 PRINTER for £29-99 as a clearance item A set of compatables for that printer can be purchased on line for less than £10
