For £20 that WR kit lens is a steal, I believe.

The Z-1 (almost the flagship in its day) I have has a price sticker of £350 and it was from roughly 1985. The inflation price checker says today this equates to £830. Not too far away from the K-7 today.

The AP advert is incorrect, I am sorry to say. This happens occasionally with magazine adverts! The website prices are the current prices.
I will however honour the £889 K-7 price for the duration of the advert (about 10 days from now). The K-x body is £519 as on the website.
Sorry for the confusion - I will have a rant at the AP tomorrow!

I might take you up on that! I saw the £889 appear on the SRS website very briefly (less than a day?) a while back, and was regretting not jumping when the price went back up..... K7 Body £889
K7 + 18-55mm WR £909
Looks good to me. It especially looks good when you consider the price on an invoice I have in front of me, dated April 2001 and for a Canon ES30E + 28-90mm lens. Would you believe £549.90? And we complain about the price of a K20D?
