Thinking of getting the K3, I enquired at SRS a couple of weeks ago about PXing my K5IIs. The offer including the bonus was a good one, but on reflection I am inclined to keep the IIs as a 2nd body because it is a lovely camera and virtually new. This led me to wonder whether I could exchange some other camera and still get the bonus. Srs has just confirmed to me that they will take any camera, working or not so I have in mind giving them my old Pentax Optio 330 which is currently acting as a paperweight. If I do this I shall effectively be getting a rebate, without having to apply for it later.

It is not the same deal at Park Cameras - they declined my old 4mp fully functional bridge camera on the grounds that there is no demand for such an item!

That works out as 565 quid for a K5II, which strikes me as a really great deal. I just wish I had 565 quid lying around...

I believe the DA 50MM F1.8 deal doesn't apply to the K3 purchase!!!

Neither of the PDFs mention it can be applied to the K-5 ii body only

http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.uk/en/cashback.html

Yet both SRS and Amazon suggest the K-5 ii body only would get 85 quid off with cashback...
