Welcome Bill.
There are plenty of lenses around to fit your KX. Half of the fun is finding the one you want at the right price.
Regards

I gladly welcome C & C's. Being foggy minded they really help me learn.

Many thanks for the warm welcome.
By the way my second set of lithium batteries are still going strong. i had my doubts about them but they clearly work well!
I'll continue to post some of my first big outing with the camera. Kefalonia in the Greek Islands second half of May. Can't wait!

what a great user site!
having bought my KX late January as an upgrade to a Canon G9 I could hardly wait for Easter in Cyprus.
I've taken about 1500 photos to date (plenty of practice here in the Peak District). I treated myself to a Sigma 10 to 20 wide angle before travelling. Excellent. I would have preferred Pentax wide angle but way outside my budget. Not had an SLR since film days. Why have fixed focal length lenses or primes as they seem now to be called got so expensive?
Very pleased with dynamic range of KX, its speed of frames when photographing action and the ergonomics of the whole kit. No lens hoods in box and poor LCD in bright light only grumbles.
Bill
KX with shorter of two twin lens kits in boring old black, KM zoomster soft case, Sigma 10 to 20 (see gallery)and polarising and UV filters in my trusty Lowepro rucksack along with a pack of mints!
