New K-R owner

I have just today bought my K-R. My first ever SLR.
My previous camera was a Canon S2 IS, which i loved and was hoping to use for my photography course i am attending. However the CCD has failed on that one.
I did actually borrow the display K-R from the store where i work, back in July, to take some photos for a project at my Church (I may try to get some of these posted here soon). I loved it, but could not justify the cost at that point.
Anyway i am looking forward to learning all i can from all of you, and to may happy years with my Pentax

Hi David,

Welcome!

I've had a KR since April (about 3000 shots)having had the KX before. I'd not used Pentax other than a film point and shoot for many years.

As you've already found out it's a brilliant camera. If you search for KR on this Forum you'll come across loads about this gem of a camera.

Get yourself a big memory card, a spare battery and get out and enjoy learning to get the best from it! no substitute for practice.

Hi, David I'm also a K-r user. Went to it from a K20D and find it as good if not better now that I have got used to it.
