Just collected my 2nd camera today, after a bit of a debate and a straight choice between the D7100 & the K-3 I plumped for the K-3, first impressions are that it a fantastic camera, build quality and first 4 or 5 images all superb and that with the cheap & nasty 18-55 kit lens (plastic lens frame etc).
Canīt wait to try it with some of my better lenses...
Maybe a 4 month old K-50 for sale!!!
Cheers,

Bruce

Cheap? Maybe, but never nasty, the 18-55mm lens can acquit itself very well.

You should have a great time with the K-3, so have fun and enjoy the forum too!
Best regards, John

I left Pentax and moved to the Nikon D7100 but came back to a K3 eight months later.
As good as the D7100 is the K3 is superior in my view.
Enjoy and Welcome to the Forum!

Hi, I'm Charlie from Macao, also K3 new user, I'm heaving problems with the images. I bought K3 w/16-50mm f/2.8 suppose to bee very good. I keep heaving blur images at wide open, and also notice a purple/blue fringe at 100%. One more thing, dose SR icon disappears in the view finder when you press the shutter half way or it has turn off, mine is like that when I move up, down, left or right even slowly when press down.
Well I think I'm asking too much, thanks

Hi, Hogboy I love the video and also think tha's the solution and Percy the race was a bit sad for me, could no see Monteiro (Portuguese) win in the WTCC, problem on the last added LAP.
I'm not a Pentax guy, I bought it coz I couldn't resist after seeing the PRESTIGE K3 so, had to buy it.
About the SR icon turning off in the view finder with shutter press and some movement, is it normal or is it turning off by itself.
Thanks
