Is horrible, please put it back to how it was.

I liked seeing the gallery with the latest topics below.

The latest from the gallery and topics are still there, just some additional promotion for the articles being produced proceeds them to bring them more awareness.

Blimey...just logged on...thought i'd made a mistake...

Having said that...I don't mind it at all.

The Gallery looks far more impressive as the images use larger sized thumbnails and the whole site seems wider
...more of a proper desktop experience than those narrow 'optimised for phones' miserly narrow scrolling affairs.

It's surprising how quickly the human brain adapts to new layouts.

I don't like it either but that's what progress is about so let's suck it and see.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I've changed the order slightly, moved the latest topics to a higher position, hope that helps a little.

I appreciate there's been additional advertising space created, but we need this from a commercial perspective to entice additional advertisers in to help support the site, without them the site wouldn't exist.

Bear with us, it's about getting the balance right.

Thing is the site was broken, in massive decline.

The work I've put in over the last year for free has turned this around to growth.

I, for one, appreciate the work that you put in, having done similar roles in the past.
Some of us are resistant to change ☺
Just not entirely happy about things being "shoved down my throat" like all the adverts and stuff at the top of the site.
I prefer to choose my content, so have changed my shortcut to go directly to the latest posts, bypassing it all.
I can always go and look at the other stuff if/when i want.

Keep up the good work

Thanks, much appreciated.

I'm with you, I don't like too much change myself either. In this case it's something that needed to be done to make the site a more attractive proposition for new users and advertisers that support the site.

We are a funny lot when it comes to change, and there will never be full agreement on the perfect layout or arrangements of menus, features etc, but the site has improved so much over recent months - the gallery has evolved with its look and larger image sizes and I suspect this has encouraged more submissions and some superb entries of late.

There is no requirement to pay for membership of the forum and if you don't pay there are very few things you miss out on, so I for one am happy with the progression of the site and I know that we are listened to when suggesting improvements or commenting on change.
Thanks to Rick and the team

Fine by me, anything for free!
Seriously though I like the changes, I can avoid the adverts,

Super well done job Rick and thanks so much for all the effort and time that you have put in
It has taken a few days for myself to adjust but I love the new opening page and scroll down for the new take on the gallery.
It is most appreciated and the gallery is so much more improved in its theatre style, very professional. Love it
Best of luck Flan
