Yup, then I can buy the ltd equivalents at lower prices.

There's a thought, how about bringing back the pull-out metal hoods on telephoto lenses? Much easier than having an extra hood to fit after removing the lens cap.

Possibly built in hoods are out for reasons of AF lens construction. In any event, as we now have bayonet hoods at least they are better than screw-in ones!
