New Challenge?

I ventured over to Pentax Forums for a butchers. I like their monthly voting competition, which seems very well subscribed, so it's a shame that the voting competition here went to an early grave. But one idea I found there that I really like is the post processing challenge, which I had a go at. Someone makes a photo available, the various processing interpretations are submitted, judged and the baton passed. I think it's fun and a great learning process.

Anyone up for that kind of thing here?

It sounds like a good idea Adrian. However with my basic PP skills I don't think it's one I would dare enter very often.
As the for original voting competition here: Wasn't that Stefan's brainwave. Now he seems to have vanished from our midst. Something or someone upset him and he huffed off. Does anyone know what that was all about?

I agree it sounds a good idea, though I wouldn't be up to it either. It would be good if those taking part could also explain (in words of one syllable) what they have done to achieve their results, so those of us not so skilled can learn from it too.

As far as the original comp goes, it was Stefan's brainchild. He still looks in occasionally, but is giving the forum a rest, for a variety of reasons. He may come back, he may not.
He is now following a full time photography course at a well know Dutch photography school.

That soounds like a good idea to me, I would definately participate.

Although might be a good idea to run a quick poll to see how many are interested.

A competition where we vote for the favourite, and then the comp where there is a photo to be processed. Better have 2 polls, dr!

Yes, the first was just a lament for the passing of something that I enjoyed (know of another voting comp?:wink. I don't propose resurrecting that.

This is a duplicate thread. Please post a topic only once. Now we have two conversations about exactly the same thing.

I'll lock this thread - once a subject is posted it only causes confusion if another on the same subject is raised.
