Need Advice K5 or K30

I returned to Pentax and discovered DSLR's with the KX and then the KR before moving up to the K5 which has been a delight.
The arrival of the K30 means you get more of the K5's spec such as a pentaprism and weather sealing. You have to decide if you want and need the K5 external AF selection switches, a top LCD,a mainly metal body,a quieter shutter a better sensor cleaning system, a bigger battery,battery grip connections, microphone socket, flash socket,a finer fine jpeg option,more User mode options to program in etc etc.

The K5 and K30 are both great cameras and depending on your needs and requirements you can't really go wrong with either.In my opinion, I think the K5 has the edge if you shoot RAW, it can shoot more of them and at 14bit, if you only shoot JPEG the K30 will be ideal.
Obviously, there are other differences that you should explore, which may result in more questions or answers, but you will then be able to make an informed choice in relation to your personal needs and requirements.

I see you're London based. If you can get up to Watford, pop into SRS and ask to handle them.
To me, how a camera feels in the hand is as important as its specifications.
They're surprisingly different to hold. Some prefer the K-5, others the K-30.

I already talked to srs for px yes feel is very important I shall definitely will go there soon

K5 has more appeal because of its 14 bit raw and other pro features and body also looks better than k30 IMO but autofocus is the only place where I lean towards k30, have any one of you seen real life difference in autofocus is it that huge ??

The k5 and the K30 have all recently had firmware updates and since updating the firmware on the K5, I personally noticed an improvement. As I have never owned a K30 I can't comment on it's focus ability in comparison to the K5. I think the only way to get a real feel for any difference would be to use the K5 and the K30, so perhaps a trip to SRS would be worth while.
What I can tell you is the K5ll & K5lls both focus better than the original K5 and my K5lls can focus in low light where the K5 would not be able too. As Fran and I now have two K5lls and two K5, we have been testing and comparing them and the differences in my opinion are far from subtle in a lot of areas. If you have the funds my view would be to purchase a K5ll or a K5lls.
