Need a Cokin Filter for sunsets Help Please choosing ??

Hi all

I need the best cokin filter to do sunsets on my K10D I believe the Gradual ND8 is the one but there si a ND8 (S)

Can anyone tell me which one I need

I can't see a difference between them, I'd suggest one is coated but they are the same price so seems unlikely

It's pretty rare that I find I need an ND8, especially on the K10D and shooting RAW. (That's the Cokin "S" = strong)

The other options from Cokin are:
ND4 = P121M (medium)
ND2 = P121L (light)

Personally, I find the ND4 is sufficient for most cases. It's often easier just to buy the set of three www.speedgraphic.co.uk do sets that make it worthwhile (i.e. set of three for £33 - http://www.speedgraphic.co.uk/prod.asp?i=3376&1=Cokin+P+ND+Graduated+Kit)

There is also a P121F. This is a full length grad which is helpful where there is no clear division between land and sky (e.g. cityscapes, etc). This is also a useful filter, but not as useful as the ND4, IMHO.

EDIT: Forgot to say that if you're shooting INTO the sun, then you need to keep the filters spotlessly clean!! Or, as a pro-landscape photog once said - "Look the other way. The light's usually better anyway."

Thats Great I think Ill get that set. As long as its good enough to shoot sunsets thats OK

I am going away next Saturday the 26th May. Is this company pretty quick at delivery.

I have ordered a 52mm adaptor ring somewhere else so I hope this is the right fit
