31mm Limited : needed!

I'm trying to finalize my lens kit with a Pentax 31mm Limited; the thing is I can't really find it anywhere, and when I do it's very far away from me, at a very high price, or both.

My plea: is anyone here planning to sell their beloved 31mm for a nice price? Black preferred, but silver is still good. It's the performance I'm looking for, more than aesthetics.

Anyone?

Thanks!

I found this one. Shipping is a bit expensive to Portugal at 45€ though.

Send a PM to Spirit of Will. He always seems to have a few hanging around.

Thanks lads!

My oncle was supposed to buy one for me in Canada, but it seems the store doesn't have them anymore and can't source them again anytime soon.

I've seen a couple on eBay, I'll see if they're worth it. None black, though.

I'll talk to Spirit of Will as well. If he as a good proposal, that might just be it.

Many thanks!

Sold my last "spare" one a while ago and the one I have I'm keeping! I think I spotted that SRS have some in stock... Give Chris a try. www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk

Trying to find one at all is an ordeal let alone at a 'good' price - remember that quality costs!!!

Theres a silver one for Au$1350 in Melbourne (city) and a black one for Au$1450 in another shop two doors down. Go to http://www.michaels.com.au/ for the silver and http://www.cameraaction.com.au/ for the black

Why is black better?

Black isn't better, but personally I find it more aesthetically pleasing when mounted on a black camera body.

In ancient times black versions of SLRs were highly regarded and more expensive than the normal silver ones.

Black is rarer rather than better

Having compared the silver and black finishes "in the metal", I prefer the silver finish. To my eye it complements better the "retro" look of the FA limiteds.

I also suspect the silver finish will be harder wearing, as it is deposited metal rather than paint.

Cheers,

On a metal finish, that is undeniably true. Black finishes wear on corners and edges. However, silve finishes end up "scuffed" anyway, so that gleaming newness is only preserved by very careful and considerate use.

I wouldn't say it was necessarily, but the OP said "Black preferred, but silver is still good", so I thought it worth mentioning.

Try these people http://shashinki.com/

I got mine from them, arrived in about 10 days, and was able to track its progress online.

If they dont have one in stock you can ask them to email you when they do.
