Need A Camera

Went to the boot sale today in Coin Malaga, spotted these cameras, had a rummage through them all but nothing worth buying, anything I should look out for that would be worth anything, he will be there next week.

Jack.

It depends what prices he was asking - that looks like the stall of a dealer to me so I don't know if you'd have got any bargains...

I spy a Zenit with what looks like an Industar 50 on the front (I always buy any M42 kit), a brown case with "Voigtlander" on it (likewise, anything Voigtlander, Rollei or Zeiss will always come home with me) and some binoculars at the back that look suspiciously like a pair of CZJ Binoctems - I'd had snapped them up for any price under £50.

If he wasn't a dealer then I'd probably have made an offer to take the whole lot off his hands, then split it into bin fodder / charity shop / eBay categories when I got home.

On another scan I just spotted a Werra case... Must. Look. Away.

Obviously you checked to see if there were any early ASAHI/Pentax items?

As hefty says, any thing with Ziess, Voightlander....
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

Hope you don't mind Jack, I've ringed the bits that would have probably had me parting with cash:

Although I would have been there for hours going through every last camera - much of it I don't recognise while still in the case.

Do you want me to get prices on the ringed items, no problem, I think a lot of it was kodak and stuff I did not recognize let me know,
Jack.

I'd certainly be interested in prices, and if you could have a rummage for any German/Russian stuff I may have missed that would also be appreciated.

I too spotted a lot of Kodak stuff but it holds no interest for me and has little value in general (there are exceptions - a Boy Scout Vest Pocket Brownie can fetch anything up to around £400 but needless to say they're not exactly common).

Be careful with Leica gear - there's a lot of fake stuff out there based on Feds and Zorkis...

Unlike modern electrical wonders even those that don't work can usually be brought back from the dead with a little patience. And if you spent as much time scouting boot sales, charity shops and auctions for hidden gems as I do then you'd get a pretty good eye for them too!

OK Hefty, I'll have a more thorough look next Sunday,

Jack.
I would say the guy is a dealer he has loads of stuff, he had a few vintage cameras in a showcase I'll note them next week and let you know what they are.

If he is a dealer then I think you could rule out the binoculars being a pair of Binoctems or that little black camera in the middle being a Hexar - he'd know the value of them well enough.

I'm still very interested in the other stuff though!

If I'm not mistaken (and I usually am), another of these treasures is a Cosmic 35, third left from the Konica Hexar. Had one of these new and it worked surprisingly well.

Never mind Jack, the postage from Spain would probably be more than some of them are actually worth anyway - I just happen to be a sucker for stuff like that.
